Peace in Every Step: Finding Happiness and Serenity through
Meditation and Mindfulness
Friday June 1, 6-7:30pm
Stress, anxiety and anger are not new to the 21st century, but they are perhaps more prevalent in our modern environment. It is said that the essence of Zen is to not panic for one second. Learn to use the ancient practices of meditation and mindfulness to transform your life from perpetual stress and anxiety to contentment and well-being. Todd Fields instructs. Love Offerings Appreciated. No registration necessary. Simply show up. Hip, Hip Hooray! All About Hips
Saturday, June 9, 11:00 – 1:15
When asked in class, “What you would like to work on today?” often the response is hips. Hips can mean a lot of things. Consider that both the torso and the legs connect to the pelvis; this involves a lot of muscles, tendons and ligaments. When we are out of balance, injured or have had trauma in the lower back, hips and pelvis, tension arises and can cause lower back pain, pain in the hip joints or knees, and restrict movement of the legs.
In this workshop we will explore the musculature that attaches to the pelvis as well as the actions of the legs and hip joints so that we can explore more specifically just it means when we say we want to work on “hips”.
No experience necessary. Pre registration is strongly recommended as space is limited. Workshop presented by Sunny Davis $25
